Your privacy matters. Here is exactly what we collect, why, and what we do not do.

1. What We Collect

• Account information: Your email address and name when you create an account.
• Scan results: Coverage gap analysis output (risk score, gap list, carrier, state). Not the raw PDF.
• Client records: Names and addresses you enter into the Clients feature.
• Usage data: Standard server logs (page views, feature usage) for product improvement.
• Payment information: Handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store card numbers or banking details.

2. What We Do Not Collect

• The raw content of uploaded PDF files. Policy documents are parsed in your browser and the text content is sent directly to our AI service for analysis only.
• Personally identifiable information about your clients beyond what you explicitly enter.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the Service: store your scan history, generate reports, manage your account.
• To improve the product: aggregate, anonymized usage patterns help us make CoverCheck better.
• To send you account emails: receipts, magic links, weekly scan digest (if subscribed).

4. Who We Share It With

We do not sell your data. We use the following service providers who may process data on our behalf:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Anthropic / OpenAI — AI analysis of extracted policy text.
• Cloudflare — CDN and edge hosting.

5. Data Retention

Your scan history and account data are retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing support@covercheck.ai.

6. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Database access is controlled by row-level security policies. PDF content is never stored on our servers.
